@ClydeFranklin/@Diverging Diamond why do you need rollback for an alt account? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 13:15, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
HJ Mitchell, to use semi-automated anti-vandal tools when I cannot access this account for whatever reason. CLYDE TALK TO ME/STUFF DONE 22:56, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
. I need a better explanation of what you are planning on doing with your alt and why you need it to have rollback. -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 17:40, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
@Guerillero: It's surely not that unusual to have an alternative account with "extra" permissions. @ClydeFranklin: For perhaps a more detailed explanation? Sdrqaz (talk) 23:21, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Hello, for the past six months I've been active in the Wikipedia community, adding content, but especially fighting vandalism. That is what brings me here, as I am sure that with rollback I'd be able to prevent vandalism more effectively! I've been using Twinkle to remove vandalism as well, and would like to get access to AntiVandal and Huggle with those rights to fight vandalism even more. Thanks for the consideration, Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 15:37, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

I have been patrolling recent changes for some time now, and I would like to gain access to rollback so I can use tools like Huggle and AntiVandal to revert vandalism. FatCat96 (talk) 15:08, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

I recently started to use Huggle at read-only mode to search for vandalism and using RedWarn to revert it, I've also encountered and reverted vandalism while reviewing pending changes. RotciW 22:58, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Done seems reasonable after looking at your contribs. Please make good choices while using huggle --Guerillero Parlez Moi 17:28, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I'm requesting rollbacker rights to fight off vandalism and other unconstructive edits, I've used Lupin's anti vandal tool in past two years, so i would like to have rollback rights to revert vandalism more efficiently. Also most of my automated edits have been reverts.[1]Ratnahastin (talk) 02:48, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I have been active in new pages patrol and AFD before extending my contribution to Recent Changes to help counter vandalism. I have mostly used Twinkle tools but I understand that having rollback right will allow me to use other tools such as huggle and AntiVanda in spotting vandalism. I'm using SWViewer to revert vandalism and want to use rollback to revert vandalism more efficiently. I already have rollback rights in the German Wikipedia. NoNAja (talk) 16:34, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi NoNAja, the time between one's first edit on enwiki and their request for the rollback permission is usually longer than 2 hours. I have had a look at your dewiki contributions and am fine with granting the permission earlier than others would normally do, but two hours are tough to justify. Would you mind re-requesting this after at least two weeks and 200 mainspace contributions to get fully accustomed to enwiki's policies, guidelines and procedures? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:07, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
The second condition is met, if you want to still uphold the first, I will have to wait. NoNAja (talk) 01:38, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

yet ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:19, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

As of this day, I feel like I have now had sufficient editing experience. Most edits that I reverted have either been done through vandalism or in bad faith. Using Twinkle works well, but sometimes the rollback or vandalism revert buttons can become slow and useless. However, if I get this permission, reverting vandalism will become much easier. I will not misuse it while checking the edits. I will only use it to revert vandalism or bad-faith edits. If I don't get the permission, then that is okay. I will wait for another few months. Thank you. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 17:58, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

In addition, I've been doing recent changes patrolling for almost a year now. NoobThreePointOh (talk) 22:00, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

It would greatly help me fight vandalism. I’ve been a recent changes patroller for quite a while now. I get how it works, and will try to use it sparingly, or only in extreme cases. Professor Penguino (talk) 08:44, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Cyberwolf434344, my concern back then was language-based. I'm not a native speaker, so I'm not in the best position to criticize English writing quality. I make mistakes all the time.
Nevertheless, I personally am uncomfortable with granting any kind of review/rollback/undo permission in response to this request. "2 times" with a space between word and number. "Myself" is usually one word. "I'm" should have a capital I and an apostrophe.
Cyberwolf434344, you would like to review others' contributions to an English encyclopedia. You're applying for a permission that would allow you to quickly undo others' contributions with a single click. You're applying for access to tools like Huggle that allow you to review contributions at high speed. Your request does not even explain a need for this.
I won't reject your request a second time, but I can't see a reason why it would be granted. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:33, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
(I've now had a look to see if I'm focused to strongly on the request itself, but then I found the edit summary of Special:Diff/1176246115 and gave up, sorry.) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:42, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

I have recently been using Twinkle to counter vandalism from IP users on the recent changes page but would like access to the features on Huggle. MicrobiologyMarcus (talk) 15:14, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
